Membership in the Northern Colorado MTNA Collegiate Chapter connects students to a national network of music educators and performers while providing meaningful opportunities for leadership, learning, and service.
Our Chapter welcomes students from all musical disciplines who are interested in teaching, performing, research, or arts leadership.
Who May Join
Membership is open to:
- Undergraduate and graduate music students
- Students pursuing teaching, performance, or related fields
- Collegiate musicians interested in professional development
Students from the University of Northern Colorado, Colorado State University, Aims Community College, and Front Range Community College are encouraged to apply.

Membership Requirements
All members must hold concurrent membership in:
- The Northern Colorado MTNA Collegiate Chapter
- The Colorado State Music Teachers Association (CSMTA)
- The Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)
Members must remain current with all applicable dues to maintain good standing and voting privileges.

Registration Steps

Step 1: Connect
Attend a chapter meeting or reach out to learn more about our community and determine whether NoCo MTNA is the right fit for you. We would be delighted to welcome you to one of our in-person meetings at the University of Northern Colorado. Virtual participation is available through Zoom upon request.

Step 2: Register
Once you decide to join, complete your registration through the Music Teachers National Association Collegiate Member portal and submit annual dues. Current dues are $19.00 for MTNA and $5.00 for CSMTA. Select Northern Colorado MTNA as your Collegiate Chapter. There is no additional chapter fee, and joining a local professional chapter is optional.

Step 3: Engage
After joining, become an active member of our community by participating in meetings, events, and collaborative programs. Members receive access to MTNA resources, enjoy discounted or waived event fees, and benefit from professional partnerships and guest presentations throughout the year.
